Pride Month
Pride Month, celebrated globally every June, honors the LGBTQIA+ community's resilience and diversity, commemorating the pivotal 1969 Stonewall Inn uprising in New York City—a response to systemic discrimination that ignited the modern LGBTQIA+ rights movement. Today, Pride serves both as a vibrant celebration and a call to action amid ongoing challenges, including a surge in anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation. In 2024, at least 487 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills were introduced in U.S. state legislatures, with 46 enacted into law. These legislative measures underscore the continued need for collective advocacy and support. This June, Deed invites our partners to support and uplift the love and struggle of LGBTQIA+ employees and communities worldwide.
