Giving Season 2024 is here! For corporate social impact leaders at purpose-driven organizations, that means it’s time to ramp up workplace giving and volunteering activities to close the year out strong.
Already planning your organization's big GivingTuesday push? Wondering how employee resource groups (ERGs) can increase employee engagement? Need fresh employee giving campaign ideas for Giving Season 2024? Deed has many features to help you 2X employee engagement for Giving Season 2024 and beyond. Let’s take a look at new and enhanced features that can help you make a real impact.
Campaigns
Campaigns are a common way for social impact and corporate social responsibility (CSR) admins, as well as employee resource group (ERG) leaders to promote giving and volunteering opportunities, and then track the engagement with and impact of those opportunities! With Deed, you can create campaigns for your company that highlight recommendations for fundraisers, volunteer events, and nonprofits to your employees.
New this Giving Season, Deed’s universal campaigns help CSR program leaders count all donations, payroll donations, and pledge donations made during a campaign period to one central campaign. It’s a great way to ensure all your employees’ efforts count toward your annual and initiative-specific goals.
Communities for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
A virtual home for your employee resource groups. Wondering how ERGs can increase employee engagement? With Deed Communities, your ERGs finally have a place where they can organize community events, fundraisers, and volunteer events—and inspire each other to do good deeds!
This Giving Season, Communities can help your company give your passionate and inspired ERGs the tools they need to maximize their impact.
Badges
With Badges, your employees can show off their good deeds and inspire healthy competition with their peers! Badges can be earned for a wide range of good deeds performed on the Deed platform, including donations, volunteering, campaign participation, and more. Employees can view their badges on their Deed profile and even share their achievements as special certifications on LinkedIn.
Remember: When our employees feel like their good deeds are celebrated, they'll be more likely to make an impact!
Campaign Badges
With Campaign Badges, when your employees engage with your company campaigns—whether they donate, volunteer, or complete an Action—they will receive a special badge. Donation and Campaign Badges are a great way to drive enthusiastic employee engagement in your ongoing company campaigns, your GivingTuesday and Giving Season campaigns, and your CSR program as a whole!
Actions
Actions are small acts of kindness that your employees can easily fit into their busy day-to-day lives. They are the acts of giving that we do on a daily basis, like using inclusive language in the workplace or unplugging electronics before leaving the house. Too often, these efforts go unrecognized; but now your company can show its support with off-the-shelf or custom-created actions. In addition to the impact of each Action, all Actions are tied to employee and/or corporate donations.
There are many ways to give during Giving Season, and Actions are small ways to make a big impact.
Donation Matching
One of the most powerful tools that corporate social impact leaders have available to them is donation matching. Deed has studied the effect of matching gift software, and our data shows that when companies match donations, 2X as many employees donate. If you haven’t already, meet now with your team to budget for donation credits for all employees and special Giving Season matching rules (e.g., 2:1 on GivingTuesday).
Impact Reporting
This Giving Season, Deed’s growing suite of dashboards and reports equip you to elevate your impact through data-driven decision-making. Analyze the performance of your workplace giving programs, workplace volunteering programs, and employee resource group (ERGs) with key metrics including employee engagement, donation totals, volunteer hours, and more, all customizable to your organization’s unique needs.
