Women's History Month
In March, we celebrate Women’s History Month by supporting nonprofits dedicated to advocating for women and gender equity. Established by the National Women’s History Project in 1987, Women’s History Month honors the countless contributions women have made throughout history, highlighting their profound impact across all sectors of society. Below, you’ll find Deed’s nonprofit recommendations, along with Actions and volunteer opportunities, offering the Deed community meaningful ways to support organizations working to advance women’s rights and empowerment. We encourage you to use this resource to set up employee engagement campaigns throughout March in celebration of Women’s History Month.


Global Fund for Women
Global Fund for Women supports the human rights of women and girls across the globe. Their focus areas include zero violence, economic and political empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Dress for Success
Dress for Success is an international organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.


Womankind Worldwide
Womankind Worldwide is an organization based in the United Kingdom that partners with women's rights organizations with a focus on ending all forms of violence against women, advancing women's economic rights and strengthening women's influence and decision making power.
National Women's Shelter Network Inc.
National Women's Shelter Network Inc. works to advance the status of women, children and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness and the womens and family shelters and safe haven programs that serve them, to end and prevent homelessness. Volunteering opportunities are available for individuals and companies to collect and disburse needed resources as well as many other programs.


Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code's mission is to close the gender gap in technology and inspire girls to pursue computing careers. Girls Who Code offers many opportunities for volunteers to host corporate workshops or participate in ongoing mentorship programs for girls interested in technology.
